Machine Learning Engineering Manager - Music

Requirements

• Experience leading or managing engineering teams, ideally in machine learning or research-focused environments
• Experience with machine learning systems and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX
• Understanding of distributed systems and experience with large-scale training or compute environments
• Effective communication and collaboration across research and engineering disciplines
• Track record of delivering complex technical projects and balancing experimentation with reliability
• Passion for building inclusive teams and supporting engineers at different career stages
• Interest in music technology, audio, or generative AI

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and support a team of research engineers and machine learning engineers
• Define and deliver the engineering roadmap
• Build and scale machine learning infrastructure
• Collaborate with research scientists, product managers, and platform teams
• Improve engineering practices in a research environment
• Support the transition of research prototypes into production systems
• Contribute to strategic planning and align engineering work with company priorities

Where You'll Be

• Flexibility to work within the EMEA region (excluding France)
• Team operates within the Central European and GMT time zone
• Core working hours typically overlap between CET 3pm–6pm and EST 9am–12pm
