Lead Staff Software Engineer

Requirements:

• Operate at a Staff engineer level, a recognized technical authority
• Hands-on experience building and operating backend systems
• Experience with C#/.NET and SQL is a strong plus
• Experience designing or building GraphQL and/or REST APIs is a plus
• Experience with reporting or scheduled-reporting systems is a plus
• Experience building AI or agentic systems is a plus
• Seeking a path into people management
• Ability to operate independently in ambiguity
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ownership of production code

What you'll be doing:

• Design, build, and operate backend systems supporting a high-traffic web and data platform
• Act as a technical reviewer and mentor in design and code reviews
• Drive technical direction on ambiguous, cross-cutting problems
• Direct management of a senior engineer with a growth track toward leading a larger team
