Senior Kafka Platform Engineer

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in streaming, platform engineering, or related systems discipline
• Hiring from senior to staff level
• Deep, hands-on Kafka expertise
• Solid backend engineering background
• A track record of turning streaming best practices into opinionated standards
• Cloud-native in your DNA
• Ability to drive cross-team initiatives
• Ability to work in a flexible hybrid setup

What You'll Be Doing

• Run Kafka at scale: Own the reliability and uptime of our Kafka fleet
• Build the streaming platform: Design and implement the control plane for the multi-cluster platform
• Make streaming best practices the default: Define standards for product engineers
• Own the platform end to end: Participate in the on-call rotation
• Own the direction: Shape the roadmap and align with broader goals
