Requirements

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build and operate foundational security platforms that support trust, identity, encryption, secrets management, and access control across Uber’s production infrastructure.
  • Contribute to highly available distributed systems used by services across Uber.
  • Work on platforms such as PKI, key management, secrets management, workload identity, authentication, authorization, and access enforcement.
  • Design and implement reliable services, APIs, libraries, and tooling that make secure patterns easier for Uber engineers to adopt.
  • Partner with senior engineers to improve system reliability, scalability, usability, and operational excellence.
  • Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to long-term platform improvements.
  • Learn and apply security principles in areas such as identity, access control, encryption, and secure infrastructure.
  • Take ownership of projects from implementation through launch, operation, and iteration.
  • Help build a strong engineering culture in Amsterdam through curiosity, initiative, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
