Senior Software Engineer - Business Expense Management

Requirements

• Experience in designing, building public API platforms that others integrate with.
• Strong understanding of Java with experience with Spring boot.
• Experience with microservices and event-driven design.
• Worked with Kafka or similar messaging systems.
• Knowledge of relational databases. SQL query optimization and designing schemas is a plus.
• A strong product mindset and sense of ownership to enable you to make the best technical decisions and prioritize your work.
• Great communication skills to drive projects across teams and be able to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Able to work independently while still being a good team player.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable services.
• Producing public-facing APIs for others to integrate with.
• Collaborate with teams across Wise to deliver real impact and expand the functionality we can offer to our partners on our platform.
• Working closely with other members of the team to solve complex problems.
• Advocating best practices and code reviews and mentoring junior engineers.
