Backend Software Engineer - Send for Banks

Requirements

• You have experience of Java 8+, experience with Spring framework
• Knowledge of the microservices architecture and event-driven design
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems is a plus
• Strong knowledge of relational databases with the ability to design schemas, optimize queries and ensure data integrity
• Proficiency in domain-driven design (DDD) to model complex business domains is a plus
• A strong product mindset and passion for user experience, ability to prioritize work with customers in mind and make data-driven decisions
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable services
• Lead development efforts in event-driven architectures
• Architect, design and optimize relational databases to ensure performance and scalability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support partner integrations and expand the Wise payment platform globally
• Participate in code reviews, champion best coding practices and mentor junior engineers
