Junior Site Reliability Engineer - (Remote - United Kingdom)

Requirements

• Familiarity with Linux and a desire to learn more
• Proficiency in a modern programming language like Python, Ruby, Go, Java, or C++
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tools
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of fundamental technologies like TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, containerization, datastores, and streaming technologies
• Exposure to monitoring concepts and best practices
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Proactive attitude towards learning and asking questions

What you'll be doing

• Collaborate with engineers on new features and services
• Develop tools for monitoring site stability and performance
• Ensure reliability and scalability of infrastructure while maintaining platform SLOs
• Troubleshoot site issues using industry-standard tools
• Automate processes with various tools and contribute to open source projects
• Participate in on-call rotations with distributed SRE teams
