Software Development Engineer, Billing and Subscriptions, Ring

Requirements

• Experience in professional, non-internship software development
• Experience contributing to the architecture and design of systems
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#

• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, create, and update functionality for the Ring Billing and Subscription services
• Work on architecture development for highly scalable systems and APIs
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders for technical discussions and feature analysis
• Improve user experience by researching and adding new capabilities
• Own operation excellence, tech debt, and security roadmap
• Guide team members in building scalable and maintainable solutions
• Design, build, and maintain features, as well as provide support and enhancements
• Create documentation, participate in on-call support, and collaborate with other engineering teams
