Software Development Engineer - Elasticache, AWS ElastiCache

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles

Nice to Haves

• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Experience programming with C, C++ or Rust

What You'll Be Doing

• Work with in-memory database technologies including Valkey, Redis OSS, and Memcached
• Build next-generation technologies in areas of horizontal and vertical scaling, data replication, data sharding, and migration algorithms
• Work closely with Valkey OSS community to influence and contribute to new features and performance optimizations
• On-call responsibilities every 2-3 months with proactive issue investigation and resolution
• Collaborate with a diverse team on projects based on unique backgrounds and skills
• Celebrate knowledge sharing and participate in team-wide design reviews
