Software Development Engineer, Lambda - Experience

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Experience in professional, non-internship software development, or experience in development in the last 3 years
• Experience in one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems, or experience in debugging, profiling, and implementing software engineering best practices in large-scale systems
• Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems and experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications

Nice to Haves

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying serverless applications using AWS services, including event-driven architectures, Lambda functions, integrating with other AWS services, and optimizing performance and cost efficiency

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, build, and operate distributed systems for the Lambda control plane
• Own the full path from API request to running function and design asynchronous workflows for function lifecycle
• Work on solving metadata propagation at global scale and ensuring availability as a first-class design constraint
• Work on meeting customer expectations and turning developers into fans of the service while fostering a productive and fun team environment
