Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Requirements:

  • You've worked as an Infrastructure Engineer, SRE, "DevOps" engineer, or adjacent role for long enough to be considered senior.
  • You have hands-on experience operating production Kubernetes at scale on a managed offering (GKE, EKS, AKS).
  • You have AWS depth across IAM, EC2, S3, SQS, ECR, and ALBs.
  • You have strong Terraform skills.
  • You've operated production CI/CD with GitHub Actions (or equivalent) and GitOps via ArgoCD

Nice to haves:

  • You've built internal developer tools and think about them as products with users.
  • You're fluent with modern AI tools.
  • You're proactive, turn ambiguity into proofs of concept, and thrive in remote, asynchronous environments.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own the day-to-day reliability of the production platform.
  • Build progressive delivery into something the rest of engineering trusts.
  • Build developer tools as products, not loose scripts.

Perks and benefits:

  • Remote-first with a preference for at least 4 hours of overlap with EMEA time zones.
  • An exciting time to join a profitable, innovative company.

Why we track Buffer

Buffer is fully remote and has been since the beginning. They're transparent about everything—salaries, revenue, how they work. It's a smaller team, which means you'd have a lot of ownership. Good fit if you value work-life balance and transparency.
