Senior Software Engineer - Traffic Management

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience with networking and/or distributed systems.
• Systems-level programming experience in Go, Python, Rust, C, or C++.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols in Layers 3 and 4 of the OSI Model.
• Knowledge of HTTP, TLS, and CDN networks.
• Experience in implementing secure and highly-available distributed systems.
• Strong ability to debug issues in complex systems.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams and functions.
• Experience participating in an on-call rotation.

Nice to Haves

• Experience building or developing capabilities in the domain of traffic engineering including automated load balancing and traffic prioritization.
• Knowledge of statistical-analysis techniques and control theory.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and Internet routing.
• Experience building tools and APIs.

What You'll Be Doing

• Build and extend various traffic management and supporting systems.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering, Product Engineering, Network Strategy, and other teams.
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Work with a wide range of technologies and programming languages.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and operational duties.
