Principal Software Engineer (Application Networking) - Platform Infrastructure

Requirements

• Experience with building software and setting technical direction for complex distributed systems at scale
• Deep expertise in application networking and cloud-native architecture
• Experience building large-scale distributed systems
• Ability to own projects from start to finish and work with multiple engineers
• Operated high-availability SaaS platforms and improved reliability
• Proven track record of using AI to accelerate development and optimize code
• Collaboration skills across functions and teams

What You'll Be Doing

• Set technical direction for major application networking initiatives
• Lead development of Ingress, private connectivity, DNS, and security controls
• Lead multi-quarter, cross-organizational projects
• Raise operational quality of services and lead incident investigations
• Mentor and support engineers, serve as subject matter expert
• Partner with product management and engineering stakeholders on technical trade-offs
• Identify and champion improvements to security, stability, and cost efficiency

Nice to Haves

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes networking and major cloud providers
• Contributed to CNCF or other open-source networking projects
