Senior Software Engineer - Prism - Security

Requirements

• Several years of experience building and maintaining production software
• Deep TypeScript and JavaScript skills, especially with React and Node.js
• Successfully led projects from conception to deployment
• A proven track record of using AI to accelerate development, debug complex systems, and optimize code
• The ability to collaborate across functions and teams
• Experience working autonomously and driving results in a distributed team

What You'll Be Doing

• Own small-to-medium projects from technical design through production, including data modeling, background tasks, and APIs
• Make features fast and reliable at scale, optimize queries, tame timeouts, and design for different customer topologies
• Write high-quality TypeScript and React code, with Node.js services and APIs where needed
• Build telemetry, tests, and safeguards for predictable system behavior in production
• Review code, support teammates, and improve team practices
• Partner with teams across Elastic Security, Kibana, Elasticsearch/ES|QL, and Support

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Kibana, Elasticsearch, or Elastic Security
• Experience with SIEM/UEBA
• Knowledge with performance profiling and optimization techniques
• Experience building AI-assisted or agent-guided workflows with human controls
