Requirements

8+ years of software development experience, including ownership of complex, business-critical backend systems (Staff scope).
Proven strength in technical leadership: setting direction, aligning stakeholders, and driving execution across teams through influence.
Proficiency in Java/Spring and the ability to design and ship backend features end-to-end (from concept/RFC to production).
Strong background in designing and implementing scalable service-oriented / distributed architectures, with a solid understanding of design patterns and pragmatic tradeoffs.
Experience building and operating production microservices in distributed, cloud, and Kubernetes-based environments, with modern observability practices and a high bar for reliability.
Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Postgres and MySQL (data modeling, migrations, performance, and operational maturity).
Experience designing and evolving APIs, including GraphQL, with a strong focus on correctness, versioning, and developer experience.
Ability to work effectively end-to-end (backend-leaning), including collaborating across APIs, workflows, and supplier-facing product surfaces when needed to ship outcomes.
A positive, proactive, team-oriented mindset, and a passion for mentoring and raising the bar on engineering craftsmanship.
Be excited to experiment with and leverage AI (in product delivery and your day-to-day development workflow).
