Requirements

Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience as a Chemical Engineer in Water Treatment Plant (WTP), chemical analysis, mechanical/cooling distribution systems, or construction/technical environments.
Ability to participate in material handling tasks such as lifting, carrying or moving up to 50 lbs (23 kg) of equipment, the required use of safety equipment such as limited weight bearing work platforms, ladders, step stools and personal protective equipment (PPE) like safety harnesses in accordance with safety and ergonomic guidelines and assessments.
Ability to work non-standard hours and differing work rotations/shifts.

Nice to haves

2 years of experience in maintenance of mechanical/cooling distribution systems or construction/technical environments, or a related field.
Experience in data centers, hospitals, or power plants.
Proficiency in managing data and updating digital chemical logs.
Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools, digital metering, or calibration/diagnostic equipment.
Knowledge of mechanical systems used in a data center environment (e.g., Chillers, Air handling units, pumps and CRAC/CRAH units).
Ability to communicate in English or German fluently to interact with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on the data center systems.

Provide analysis of chemical testing data and perform changes to keep the plant safe and protected.
Monitor all cooling systems including make up water, cooling water, and closed cooling water.
Inspect, maintain, and repair various data center systems such as piping and mechanical system components, completing planned Preventative Maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance.
Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions, including reacting promptly to the Building Management System (BMS) alarms and responding to HVAC-related client problems.
Manage the uptime and maintenance of water pumps and treatment systems, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), and control/monitoring systems.
