Senior Software Engineer, GKE Networking

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture

Nice to haves:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role
• Experience developing accessible technologies

What you'll be doing:

• Design and implement new networking features in the Kubernetes and GKE area
• Design and develop network virtualization solutions for containers
• Design and develop AI/ML enablement high-performance networking solutions specifically optimized for large-scale model training, low-latency GPU communication and self-sustaining agentic workloads
• Help external GKE customers who hit issues in production clusters
• Engage with the open source community to help shape the direction of networking in Kubernetes
