Requirements:
- Associate's degree, trade school certification or other verifiable training in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience working with mission critical facility maintenance and operations.
- Experience with electrical distribution systems.
- Ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, holidays and on shift-based schedule as required.
Nice to haves:
- Experience planning and executing installation, commissioning, and equipment startup following industry best practices and protocols.
- Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools digital metering or calibration equipment and diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems (e.g., high voltage, low voltage, protection and controls, power quality).
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data center environments and controls/monitoring systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and people skills, with the ability to prioritize work efficiently.
What you'll be doing:
- Operate, monitor, inspect, maintain and respond to abnormal conditions in the data center facilities systems and equipment.
- Monitor multiple information streams in the control room and make accurate mission-critical decisions.
- Be responsible for the uptime, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical distribution systems and power monitoring.
- Provide root cause analysis (RCA), recovery and prevention actions for service failure.
- Prepare and execute operation procedures, respond to work request/service failure and provide operational and technical expertise in required areas.
