Forward Deployed Engineer, Applied AI, Google Cloud

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
• 8 years of software development experience using Python or similar languages
• Experience architecting AI systems on cloud platforms
• Experience deploying resources via Terraform or similar tools
• Experience building full-stack applications interacting with enterprise IT infrastructures
• Experience developing and deploying multilingual natural language processing models

Nice to haves:

• Master’s or PhD in AI, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience implementing multi-agent systems using frameworks like ReAct
• Experience debugging and optimizing tool selection for Agent logic
• Experience connecting agents to enterprise knowledge bases and optimizing RAG chunking
• Ability to troubleshoot live, high-traffic systems during critical windows
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

What you'll be doing:

• Lead developer for Conversational AI and Customer Experience applications
• Architect and code conversational flows optimized for Google’s AI products
• Develop evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks for agentic workloads
• Identify repeatable field patterns and technical friction points
• Partner with customer engineering teams to instill best practices
