Data Center Operations Site Lead (English, French)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience managing technical teams in charge of operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and controls infrastructure and components.
• 5 years of experience in developing and managing managers.
• Experience with people management and leading teams.
• Ability to communicate in English and French fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Nice to haves:

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional business units to meet company goals and standards.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical systems in a data center environment.
• Experience in managing mission critical facilities portfolio.
• Understanding of power and HVAC requirements for high-availability data centers.

What you'll be doing:

• Budget and Cost Strategy: Owns campus operational budgets, driving expense forecasting, cost-effective operations, and total cost of ownership minimization.
• Deployment and Strategy: Sets regional deployment strategies across multiple sites, seamlessly integrating Google-wide execution with internal and external partners.
• Compliance and Standards: Directs global data center compliance activities, ensuring regional teams strictly adhere to schedule guidelines and Google design standards.
• Operations and Risk Management: Oversees systems monitoring, controls site activities to minimize risk, and ensures rapid, effective responses to any operational excursions.
• Innovation and Optimization: Benchmarks maintenance programs, drives environmental efficiency initiatives, and leverages deep domain expertise to optimize future data center designs.
