Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting, with network equipment providers.
3 years of experience in Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) or Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) or Network system design operations.
Experience in one or more programming languages such as C++, Go, or Python.
Experience in coding/scripting languages such as Go or Python, and SQL scripts.
Experience with Content Distribution Networks (CDN), IP transit/peering, dark fiber, colocation, optical transport, and cloud technologies.

Nice to haves:

Experience with planning and designing networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products, etc.).
Experience in telecommunications at carrier-class scale, with experience of DWDM optical and IP networks, as well as network automation scripting using Go or Python, and SQL scripts.
Experience with scaled capacity augment/migration projects in telecommunication, hyperscalar, data center or colocation networking environment.
Experience with defining system or process requirements, building, integrating, or delivering layer 1, layer 2 or layer 3 network systems.
Experience with forecasting and planning, and design tools, workflow automation tooling and improvement, automation scripts.

Review Google's network architecture standards and design global infrastructure that meets capacity requirements and service-level objectives (SLOs) while optimizing the capital expenditures and operating expenditures (CapEx/OpEx) balance.
Incorporate newly New Product Introduction (NPI)'d solutions into plans and designs, ensure planning and design toolsets and business processes are ready for NPIs.
Evolve the business processes throughout their life-cycle (e.g., input gathering, generation, validation, publication, handoff).
Support establishment and maintenance of business practices and policies in network planning and design (e.g., architectural/topology, hardware life-cycle, capacity/utilization target), improve performance, reliability, and reduce risk.
Create and promote automation tooling/scripts into network planning and design, contribute to the automation roadmap of all automatable tasks performed by the team, substantially reducing cycle time and improving quality and consistency.
