Senior Data Center Technician, Electrical, High Voltage

Requirements:

• Associate's degree, trade school certification or other verifiable training in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience working in mission-critical facility maintenance and operations to perform switching on High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) equipment.
• Experience with troubleshooting for electrical distribution systems.

Nice to haves:

• Experience planning and executing installation, commissioning, and equipment startup, following industry best practices and protocols.
• Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools, digital metering, or calibration/diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge on electrical distribution systems with a focus on high and medium voltage installation and including protection and controls.
• Understanding of mechanical systems in data center environments and controls/monitoring systems.
• Ability to communicate in English and French fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
• Excellent written, verbal communication and teamwork skills with the ability to prioritize work efficiently.

What you'll be doing:

• Direct the full startup, commissioning, and integration of electrical infrastructure, ensuring seamless facilities turnover and documentation while providing key operational insights during the design review process.
• Maintain uptime for electrical distribution and power monitoring systems by conducting regular inspections, executing repairs, and troubleshooting critical data center equipment to maintain optimal functionality and reliability.
• Oversee mission-critical control room operations, monitoring information streams to detect abnormal conditions and make accurate, real-time decisions that ensure continuous system stability and performance.
• Design strategies to reduce operational costs and improve efficiency, whilst producing standards and templates for power quality monitoring, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance logs for critical systems.
• Demonstrate strict adherence to the site’s environmental health and safety policies, ensuring all operational tasks and maintenance procedures align perfectly with established safety protocols and regulations.

• Salary range in Belgium: €98000 - €101000 (EUR) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.
