Mechanical Technician II (Werktuigbouwkundig Specialist/Technicus Mechanisch) (Dutch)

Requirements:

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of Mechanical/HVAC experience in an industrial or commercial environment.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and differing work rotations/shifts.
• Ability to perform material handling (lifting/shifting) and work on platforms, ladders, and under raised floors.
• Ability to communicate in Dutch fluently to engage in day-to-day operations, and with colleagues.

Nice to haves:

• 2 years of experience in maintenance of mechanical/cooling distribution systems or construction/technical environment or a related field.
• Experience in data centers, hospitals, or power plants.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems used in a data center environment (e.g., Chillers, Air handling units, pumps and CRAC/CRAH units).
• Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools, digital metering, or calibration/diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to communicate with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on the data center systems.

What you'll be doing:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair various data center systems such as piping and mechanical system components, completing planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance.
• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions, including reacting promptly to building management system (BMS) alarms and responding to HVAC-related client problems.
• Manage the uptime and maintenance of water pumps and treatment systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), and control/monitoring systems.
• Provide daily assistance to technicians as you read blueprints/schematics/sequence of operations, conduct system tours, and assess their working order.
• Ensure all safety processes and requirements are followed and conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records.
