Senior Backend Engineer - Observability Ingest - Kubernetes Operator/Helm Chart | UK | Remote

Requirements:

• You believe that great tooling is a force multiplier and take pride in boosting user experience
• Strong communication skills, clear in code review, helpful in customer-facing issues, and comfortable with async work
• Experience building or maintaining tooling for external users or customers
• 4 years of professional software engineering experience with at least one major language (Go preferred; Python, Rust, etc.)
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience, familiarity with Helm, and Kubernetes resource model
• Experience in writing and maintaining automated tests at multiple levels

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design, build, and maintain user-facing tools supporting deployment, configuration, and operation of observability components
• Own and evolve Helm chart ecosystem, collaborate with teams, and contribute to open source projects
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code integrations, communicate progress transparently, and represent Grafana Labs

Nice to Haves:

• Direct experience with Grafana Alloy or OpenTelemetry Collector
• Experience with GitOps tooling and Kubernetes certifications
• Experience with Helm charts, Grafana ecosystem, and open source contributions
