Research Scientist Intern, 3D Scene Understanding (PhD)

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics, or related field
• Research background in 3D scene understanding, semantic mapping, SLAM, or neural representations
• Proven publication record in top-tier venues
• Programming skills in Python and PyTorch
• Hands-on experience with 3D datasets, rendering, or AR/VR sensors

What You'll Be Doing

• Conduct research in 3D scene understanding, including efficient 3D representation learning, dynamic object tracking, and more
• Design and execute experiments on public datasets and/or internal data
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and interns to advance research
• Document findings and aim for submission to CVPR or equivalent conferences

Nice to Haves

• Experience with hybrid 3D representations
• Familiarity with open-vocabulary or foundation models
• Knowledge of real-time or efficient deployment techniques
• Ability to integrate research code into practical prototypes on edge devices
• Intent to return to degree-program after internship
