Software Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C++, C#, Java, or JavaScript OR equivalent experience.
• Experience in one or more of the following is advantageous:
  • Prior experience with distributed systems - Identity and Access Management systems
  • Authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, OpenID, MFA, FIDO2)
  • Authorization and access control (RBAC/ABAC)
  • Applied cryptography and key management
  • Secure communication protocols (TLS/SSL, PKI)
  • Cloud security and architecture (Azure, Entra ID)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the team, develop your own technical designs as well as contribute, coach, and review technical designs from teams across Microsoft.
• Partner with key stakeholders to drive improvements and change across multiple teams across multiple geographies in the Microsoft Entra organization.
• Design, develop, and run large scale distributed software services and solutions.
• Troubleshoot and optimize automation, reliability and monitoring for production services.
• Develop “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that the services and the components are well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored, and reusable.
• Gain a working understanding of Microsoft businesses and collaborate with other leaders in order to contribute to cohesive, end-to-end experiences for our users.
