Principal Software Engineer - GitHub Actions

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Demonstrated technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, Rust OR equivalent experience
• Experience with large-scale system architecture and design in cloud-based environments
• Technical leadership and hands-on coding experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using general purpose programming languages (e.g., Go, Ruby, or a similar language)
• Experience in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, or a similar language)
• Experience building or operating CI/CD systems at scale

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and ship high-quality technical solutions that scale across multiple GitHub services
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews
• Own and advocate for the health and quality of systems
• Design and implement APIs for software components integration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead technical discussions
• Develop comprehensive testing strategies and drive continuous improvement
• Champion security and operational excellence
• Drive and support technical roadmap aligned with product goals
