Senior Site Reliability Engineer (f/m/d)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven software engineering experience in Java or Kotlin
• 6+ years of experience with SaaS software development in distributed systems
• 1+ years’ experience as an SRE or similar role in agile environments
• Act as a Datadog subject matter expert
• Hands-on experience running Kafka at scale
• Systematic problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have/Bonus

• Experience with CI/CD tooling
• Experience tuning JVM-based services and Node.js runtimes
• Experience with AWS MSK Connect

• Engage in and improve the full service lifecycle
• Prepare services for production
• Operate, monitor, and maintain live services
• Ensure sustainable scalability through automation
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams
• Support incident management processes
• Identify and reduce toil through process automation
• Support resilience strategies and implement chaos testing
• Own and maintain the reliability of event streaming
• Mentor and train peers on reliability best practices
