Engineering Lead - Business Operations Tooling

Requirements:

• Experience in leading and mentoring software engineers, as you enjoy helping others grow and succeed.
• Strong communication style, experience leading one or multiple teams, working across multiple functions.
• Experience in backend engineering and system architecture, with a proven track record of delivering scalable solutions, ideally in a fast-paced environment or for internal tooling.
• Experience with designing complex systems.
• Experience with database handling.
• Experience with API design.
• Experience with asynchronous messaging.
• Good conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with JVM languages (Java, Kotlin).
• Financial background is not a must, but a good plus.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Technical: Defining the technical approach for building tools, and considering short term wins vs long term initiatives. The role is hands-on.
• Product Roadmap: Actively participating in product definition and roadmap of the team.
• Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring the team of engineers (Individual Contributors), ensuring code quality, and driving project completion.
• Cross-Team Coordination: Working with cross-functional teams (including design, product, analytics) to build and integrate the tools.
