Senior Software Engineer I - Europe and UK Onboarding

Requirements

• A strong product mindset and passion for user experience, prioritizing work with customers in mind.
• Experience with Java or other JVM based language, Spring framework, JDBC, and database internals.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Distributed and Concurrent Systems.
• Experience with machine learning basics is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and take end-to-end ownership of projects.
• Great communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audience.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, and designing schemas.
• Enjoy writing testable code and believe in Test Driven Development.
• Follow best coding practices, code reviews, and open feedback.

What you'll be doing

• Build and improve systems for verifying businesses, owners, directors, and associated parties.
• Automate information collection, verification, and decision-making to reduce manual work.
• Create flexible onboarding journeys adaptable to different markets and regulatory requirements.
• Develop controls and monitoring to manage financial-crime and compliance risks.
• Own projects end to end, from problem discovery to delivery and measuring impact.
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Operations, and other engineering teams while maintaining high standards.
