Requirements

• A strong product mindset and passion for user experience, prioritizing work with customers in mind
• Experience of Java or other JVM based language, familiarity with Spring framework, and deep understanding of JDBC and database internals
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Distributed and Concurrent Systems
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, and designing schemas
• Enjoy writing testable code and believe in Test Driven Development

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and build reliable, scalable systems supporting business onboarding and verification across Europe and the UK
• Build and improve systems for verifying businesses, owners, directors, and other associated parties
• Automate information collection, verification, and decision-making to reduce onboarding time and manual work
• Create flexible onboarding journeys that adapt to different markets, business types, and regulatory requirements
• Develop effective controls and monitoring to manage financial-crime and compliance risks with minimal customer friction
• Own projects end to end, from problem discovery and technical design through to delivery and measuring impact
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Operations, and other engineering teams while maintaining high standards for reliability, testing, and code quality

Nice to Haves

• Experience with machine learning basics (data pipelines, feature engineering, recall/precision, familiarity with machine learning systems in production) is a huge plus
