Senior Software Engineer - Observability

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working with highly distributed systems
• Expertise in designing and implementing APIs and data pipelines for high-throughput, real-time data ingestion
• Experience improving software reliability in different categories
• Proficiency in Go and/or Java
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Solid understanding of system design and tradeoffs evaluation
• Demonstrated track record of leading and delivering projects end to end
• Highly motivated to learn and continuously develop yourself

Nice to Haves:

• Observability Stack Expertise: Hands-on experience with core telemetry data stores at scale
• Experience with highly available/fault-tolerant data storage systems and large scale data processing systems
• Infrastructure and Platform Experience
• Contributions to open-source observability projects

What You'll Be Doing:

• Solve scaling bottlenecks in critical services in our Logging, Metrics, Traces & Alerting pipeline
• Design and evolve APIs used by other engineers in product teams
• Identify and tackle bottlenecks in the architecture to improve reliability
• Drive features and products idealization, implementation, and adoption
• Collaborate on planning and refinement proactively providing input
• Respond to alerts and duty responsibilities, troubleshooting production issues
