Requirements

• Professional software development experience (non-internship)
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• Experience leading architecture and design, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• Experience building complex software systems delivered to customers
• Solid knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms and techniques
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Nice to Haves

• Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with full software development life cycle: coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations
• Experience working with transformer architectures, inference optimization techniques, and Large Language Models
• Excellent problem-solving skills with creative and critical thinking
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, test, and deploy solutions for high-end Ring/Blink services
• Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment
• Build scalable, fault-tolerant, and easy-to-manage AWS-based solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers and scientists to solve complex problems
• Mentor and guide junior engineers to support team growth and development
• Stay up-to-date with new solutions, explore ideas, brainstorm, and connect with others
• Detect, investigate, and resolve complex problems using software or existing solutions
• Partner with leaders to focus on priorities and make good decisions
• Ensure adherence to best design and programming practices and lead operational efforts
• Contribute to building and maintaining Ring devices’ architecture, feature delivery, and health after launch
