Principal Software Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong software engineering experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and Node.js
• Significant experience designing and delivering complex software systems or platform capabilities
• Experience with Electron, Chromium-based applications, or desktop application development

Nice to Haves

• Deep experience with Electron architecture
• Strong understanding of Chromium architecture
• Experience with C++, native Node.js modules, or JavaScript-native platform API interoperability

What You'll Be Doing

• Defining and evolving platform architecture
• Designing, prototyping, implementing, and reviewing complex functionality
• Guiding engineers through design and implementation decisions
• Collaborating with product teams and platform teams
• Partnering with quality and release engineering
