Requirements

Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
Experience designing or architecting systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
Strong programming skills in at least two of the following languages: Rust, Go, Java, C++, Python

Nice to Haves

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Open-source enthusiasm and contributions, such as a GitHub portfolio or work on projects like OpenTelemetry

Work in an agile team to design, build, and maintain highly available, massively scaled systems used by millions worldwide
Design and implement complex software with high quality for owned services
Build telemetry collection agents in Rust and Go and engage with upstream open-source communities
Expand services across all AWS Regions and troubleshoot issues to find and fix root causes
Leverage GenAI and AI-powered tools to enhance productivity and stay current with emerging technologies
Mentor junior engineers to help grow the technical capability of the team
