Requirements

• Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
• Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• Hands-on programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Rust, Go, Java, C++, Python

Nice to Haves

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with full software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Open-source enthusiasm and contributions (e.g., GitHub portfolio, or contributions to projects such as OpenTelemetry)

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, build, and maintain highly available, massively scaled systems for millions of users worldwide
• Develop telemetry collection agents in Rust and Go and engage with upstream open-source communities such as OpenTelemetry
• Expand services across all AWS Regions and troubleshoot issues to prevent recurrence
• Leverage GenAI and AI-powered development tools to enhance productivity and stay current with emerging technologies
• Mentor junior engineers and help grow the technical capability of the team
