Requirements

Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
Experience leading architecture and design of new and current systems, including reliability and scaling
Professional, non-internship software development experience
Programming experience in at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
Development experience within the last 3 years

Nice to Haves

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience with full software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

Lead design and architecture of highly available, massively scaled systems used by millions worldwide
Shape technical strategy and roadmap for owned services, documenting key architectural decisions and tradeoffs
Build telemetry collection agents using Rust and Go, engaging with upstream open-source communities like OpenTelemetry
Raise engineering standards via code and design reviews, coding standards, and operational excellence
Expand services across all AWS Regions and troubleshoot issues deeply to prevent recurrence
Mentor and develop engineers to grow team technical capabilities
Partner with product and engineering teams to break down ambiguous problems into deliverable workstreams
Champion adoption of GenAI and AI-powered development tools to enhance productivity and leverage emerging technologies
