SWE 3, Search Experience

Requirements:

• Experience building customer-facing software in a product engineering environment.
• Strong coding skills and an understanding of modern frontend, full stack, or experience-layer development practices.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and design functions.
• Interest in search, discovery, relevance, or marketplace user experiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on quality, performance, and maintainability.

What you will be doing:

• Build and improve search experience modules and surfaces that support eBay integration goals.
• Collaborate with backend, ranking, and indexing teams to deliver cohesive end-to-end search experiences.
• Translate product and design requirements into performant, maintainable search-facing implementations.
• Improve customer discovery through experimentation, iteration, and attention to usability and relevance.
• Contribute to engineering quality through testing, code reviews, and operational best practices.
• Learn and grow in a collaborative search environment with exposure to multiple parts of the search stack.
