Frontend Engineer

Requirements

• Solid experience with frontend development, ideally with React and React Native for mobile development.
• Genuine curiosity for how systems work end-to-end, including business logic and data.
• Full-stack experience or strong understanding of backend services, APIs, and data flows.
• Strong investigation skills and ability to debug complex issues.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Background in fintech or complex permissions systems.
• Passion for innovation and curiosity in product development.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building and maintaining features across web and mobile surfaces for expense review, approval workflows, and spend controls.
• Investigating and debugging complex issues involving business logic, permissions, and data across multiple services.
• Collaborating with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver features end-to-end.
• Contributing to technical decisions and shaping the evolution of architecture.
• Partnering with other Pleo teams working in the same domain.
