Requirements

• In-depth experience in software development and a passion for software engineering
• Experience designing or working with web services (HTTP+JSON, gRPC, etc.)
• Understanding of networks and networking protocols
• Experience with, or interest in, Go programming language
• Troubleshooting distributed systems and networking issues

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with languages such as Golang, Swift, C, C++, Objective-C, Python, Java, Scala, and shell scripting
• Knowledge of RPC libraries and protocols like protobuf and gRPC
• Experience with cloud technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and Envoy proxy
• Exposure to automation technologies like Ansible, Pkl, and WebDriver
• Experience with IoT or other embedded development

What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborating across functions to maintain a fleet of thousands of Apple devices
• Improving functionality, observability, scalability, availability, usability, security, and performance of services and infrastructure
• Adapting cloud technologies and industry best practices to solve challenges unique to Apple workloads
• Troubleshooting, investigating, and remediating production issues
