What you'll be doing

Hire and support a talented team of engineers to build a new product from the ground up.
Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Design, and Data Science to define roadmap priorities and deliver intuitive product capabilities.
Guide architectural and technical decisions to ensure system reliability, performance, and long-term scalability.
Drive operational excellence and continuous delivery processes, enabling the team to iterate quickly and ship value continuously.
Champion accountability for key outcomes, linking your team's everyday work to Asana's broader strategic goals.

Requirements

Experience guiding and developing software engineering teams in building scalable web applications, ideally with experience leading 0-1 product development.
Solid technical background with a deep understanding of software engineering fundamentals and modern architecture.
Proven track record of collaborating effectively with product managers and designers to balance technical health with user velocity.
Clear communicator and empathetic leader who thrives in a collaborative environment.

Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.
