Requirements

• Experience designing and operating distributed systems in production
• Comfort with ambiguity and owning problems end-to-end, from API contract through data-plane handoff
• Strong fundamentals in at least one of: Java, Python, or TypeScript
• Bias toward simple, operable solutions that are easy to reason about at any time
• Experience in professional software development (non-internship)
• Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• Programming experience with at least one software programming language

Nice to Haves

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with full software development lifecycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, build, and operate the distributed systems interfacing between customers and the Lambda data plane
• Own the full path from API request to running function, creating high-throughput, consistent, globally available APIs
• Design asynchronous workflows that orchestrate the lifecycle of Lambda functions
• Ensure metadata propagation at global scale with correct ordering guarantees under partial failures
• Operate systems with availability as a first-class design constraint
