Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years of backend and 2 years of frontend contributions
• Strong coding skills with fluency in Node.js and TypeScript for backend development
• Experience designing and implementing APIs and distributed services, with solid system design and data modeling knowledge
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one modern frontend framework (React preferred), including understanding of state management, responsiveness, accessibility, performance, and security basics
• Experience designing, building, and deploying high-quality software in cloud environments
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and object-oriented programming
• Passion for new technologies and ability to implement them in existing products
• Ownership mentality with commitment to excellence in technical work and team collaboration
• Proficient in English

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or Amazon Web Services
• Experience with WebSockets and real-time applications
• Experience contributing to cross-platform solutions as part of a team
• Experience optimizing development setup and pipelines to enhance software development efficiency

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing high-quality, scalable, and responsive software using modern technologies
• Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams for onboarding and knowledge sharing
• Participating in team meetings and manager 1:1s for alignment, growth, and continuous improvement
• Creating clear technical documentation, reusable patterns, and examples to share knowledge across engineering teams
• Leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor) to accelerate development, research, documentation, and bug triage while maintaining high quality and security standards
• Representing and advocating for Box Poland’s engineering excellence internally and externally
• Improving legacy codebases
• Defining and implementing engineering and operational standards across product teams
• Participating in on-call rotations to respond to and triage issues as they arise
