What You'll Be Doing

• Design and develop performant Cloud developer tools for data modeling, transformation, and code generation.
• Collaborate with colleagues on semantic modeling, language/compiler design, and developer toolchains.
• Own features from design to delivery, including sustained care after release.
• Collaborate with other teams on cross-functional design of developer-facing APIs and tools.
• Understand and evolve the larger system architecture and its impact on development workflows and tooling.
• Mentor and be mentored on backend and data storage technologies.
• Constantly re-evaluate the product to improve architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and stability.
• Act as an energetic self-starter, taking ownership and accountability for deliverables.

Requirements

• Experience building data-model-driven declarative systems and domain-specific languages.
• Experience with schema design, type systems, and data transformation pipelines.
• Experience with data-model verification and developer tooling.
• Experience developing cloud-based or highly concurrent, distributed systems.
• Strong background in Computer Science including algorithms, graphs, and computation theory.
• Proficient in writing production quality code in Go and Python; openness to learning other languages.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making and workflows.
• Comfortable with various testing methodologies: unit, integration, end-to-end, fuzzy/property-based testing.
• Deliver and accept feedback graciously.
• Strong sense of ownership with low ego and proactive attitude.
• Comfortable working in a distributed, multi-time-zone environment.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Graph Databases, Semantics, and Ontologies.
• Experience developing code within well-defined information architecture.
• Experience in code optimization and performance profiling/testing.
• Experience developing CLI tools, automated tests, and test automation.
• Extensive experience with testing frameworks and CI/CD integration (Jenkins, Gitlab CI, etc.).
• Familiarity with formal software verification methods such as Alloy, TLA+, or Agda.
• Experience with compiler implementation.
