What You'll Be Doing

Design, develop, document, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale services.
Take ownership and be accountable for deliverables.
Triage system issues and debug by analyzing sources and impact on operations.
Mentor other engineers on web and backend use of feature services.
Continuously improve architecture, testing, knowledge models, user experience, performance, observability, and stability.
Partner with product teams to understand needs, document new requirements, and implement new features.
Participate in on-call duties to sustain and maximize service availability.

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
Experience scaling backend systems with sharding, partitioning, and horizontal scaling.
Strong desire to ship code and see it run in production.
Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges.
Team player with strong collaboration skills.
Thorough understanding of engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, and resilient architecture.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment.
Consistently meet commitments, producing high quality, unit tested, and code-reviewed software.
Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
