Requirements

• 5+ years building large-scale backend infrastructure applications
• Deep fluency in at least one high-level language (Python and TypeScript preferred)
• Solid grounding in distributed systems concepts: databases, replication, partitioning, queuing, caching and their behavior under load
• Experience owning services in production with improvements through code reviews, testing, rollout, and monitoring
• Experience with data migrations or re-architecture projects is a plus

What you'll be doing

• Taking end-to-end ownership of major projects involving database and processing system design, deployment, monitoring, and impact measurement
• Building robust distributed systems with a focus on failure modes and performance under load
• Contributing to performant protocols and APIs directly used by customers
• Solving complex domains at large scale with simple solutions
• Raising engineering standards via code reviews, pair programming, and mentorship
