Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals in Java or Kotlin, with experience in data structures, algorithms, system design, and distributed systems.
• Experience building and operating high-performance backend services in public/hybrid cloud environments (Kotlin strongly preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership in engineering efforts for large-scale services in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency in system design, API design, and data modelling.
• Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools as part of daily workflow beyond simple code autocompletion.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes and CI/CD tools/processes.
• Expertise in architecting end-to-end solutions integrating multiple systems or domains.
• Strong focus on operational excellence including monitoring, automation, and incident response.
• Data-driven problem solving and technical decision making, leveraging AI/ML insights where appropriate.
• Deep knowledge of safely integrating AI/ML features into production systems and optimizing their impact at scale.
