Data Center Technician II, Third Party Data Centers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting one of the following: operating systems and computer/server hardware or networking protocols.
• Experience with performing component-level repairs on IT equipment.
• Ability to lift/move 50lb (23kg) of equipment and exert yourself physically over extended periods of time.
• Must have the ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, holidays, and on shift-based schedules as required.

Nice to haves

• Experience with server hardware, maintenance/repair, and troubleshooting/diagnosing.
• Knowledge of networking, including basic topology and protocol understanding.
• Ability to communicate in English fluently for client relationship management.
• Excellent Linux skills, including installation, systems administration, and troubleshooting.

What you'll be doing

• Deploy and operate new data center infrastructure across projects or functions.
• Report issues and troubleshoot and diagnose straightforward equipment or infrastructure issues.
• Maintain data security and integrity, track media to check for standard data security issues.
• Disassemble end-of-life equipment in a team setting and perform preventative maintenance.
• Repair, fix, and maintain equipment, servers, machines, or infrastructure based on identified issues.
