Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• 5 years of experience with full stack development including back-end languages (Java, Python, Golang, C++) and front-end technologies (JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent).
• Experience in prompt engineering or multi-agent systems.

Nice to Haves

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization on cross-functional or cross-business projects.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead end-to-end technical designs and drive core implementation focusing on clean code, scalable pipelines, and robust inference/serving paths.
• Balance ambitious AI/ML capabilities with low latency, high throughput, and cost-efficient inference budgets.
• Provide strategic thought leadership, establish multi-quarter technical roadmaps, and manage high-ambiguity quality challenges.
• Mentor, guide, and elevate junior to mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, experimentation, and high velocity.
• Develop, test, and maintain code for software solutions supporting Google Merchant Center's data ingestion and feed management systems.
• Apply standard and emerging Google tools, resources, and processes to solve familiar, predefined technical tasks efficiently.
• Utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) and Gemini to build autoraters for evaluating product data quality and automate testing workflows.
