Requirements

• Experience developing in a production environment with at least one programming language (Go, TypeScript, Python preferred)
• Knowledge of containerized, cloud-native applications and Kubernetes; experience with multiple cloud providers is a strong plus
• Experience automating security and compliance processes while enabling developer and employee workflows
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with peers, stakeholders, auditors, and customers
• Understanding of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, NIST, GDPR, and their practical application
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience

Nice to Haves

• Working knowledge of Grafana Labs open source projects and products
• Experience using observability tooling to address security challenges
• Experience contributing to open source software communities
• Experience automating infrastructure compliance
• Experience securing large-scale distributed systems in public cloud environments

What You'll Be Doing

• Contribute technically to GRC team efforts, including certifications, application, build, cloud, and supply chain security, as well as internal tooling development
• Develop, implement, and maintain automated security assurance programs to ensure regulatory and organizational compliance
• Build systems and automation for security observability beyond baseline certification requirements
• Implement security and compliance checks that integrate seamlessly into employee workflows and pipelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security controls into the software development lifecycle and operations
• Respond to customer security concerns, alerts, and potential incidents
